Linda was hired in January 2006 to
lead acquisitions of the Academy nominated
live-action and animated short film
theatrical releases. In her current
role, she also acquires movies for
iTunes and all Shorts International
TV channels. She attends international
film festivals serving on many juries
and panels. She holds an MA in film
and was one of the first people hired
at DreamWorks. Her credits include
co-founder/director of the DreamWorks
Short Film Festival; member of Hanna-Barberas
shorts development team for WHAT A
CARTOON!; worldwide acquisitions director
for EVEO; head of shorts for THE HATCHERY;
senior programmer for the Palm Springs
Short Film Festival and Sofia Independent;
and feature film screener for the
Sundance Film Festival. She
has many editing and associate producing
credits, has worked as a documentary
cameraman and photojournalist, and
has written screenplays.

Kalman is an acquisitions and sales
consultant for Shorts Entertainment
In Los Angeles. He is an Academy Award
nominated Director and executive committee
member of the Short Films and Feature
Animation Branch. He is the co-founder
of Powersurge video fun & fitness
a new concept Out of Home Entertainment
Complex. Kalman has worked as a screenwriter
for Walt Disney Feature Animation and
continues to write for a variety of
clients. Previous to his Film career
Kalman worked in New York City in Advertising
as a Commercial Director and as an Agency
Creative Director. Kalman is a graduate
of Art Center College of Design.

Christopher Tidman oversees acquisitions
for the Shorts International distribution
catalogue and the ShortsTV channels
globally.
Christopher
has a strong background in short form
content and factual programming with
over 12 years experience in broadcasting,
production management, content development,
co-production financing and acquisitions,
having previously worked for companies
like Discovery USA, Discovery Europe
and Carlton International (now ITV Studios
Global Entertainment).

SIMON
YOUNG -
DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITIONS

Simon has been an integral member of the
short film community since 2000 when he
joined the Barcelona-based distributor
Morphe Art Pictures. In 2002 he moved
to the UK's Britshorts [now Shorts International]
and has since built up an impressively
diverse catalogue of high-quality short
films that are distributed to broadcasters
and new media outlets worldwide including
iTunes and Shorts International's own
TV Network ShortsTV. A veteran of the
short film festival circuit, Simon is
also a regular jury and panel member at
film events. For 5 years he has also been
working as one of the Short Film Advisors
at the BFI London Film Festival.

AMELIE
CHICOYE -
SALES & ACQUISITIONS MANAGER

Amélie Chicoye has an MA (hons)
in Modern Literature and Media from the
University of the Sorbonne
(Paris, France). Whilst a student, she
was also president of a popular French
theatre company. She worked for The Late
Show with David Letterman (CBS) and for
Le Grand Journal (Canal Plus France) before
relocating to the United Kingdom where
she gained a filmmaking diploma at the
London Film Academy. After working in
development for the British production
company Fidelity Films, Amélie
joined Shorts International where she
managed material deliveries and contracts
before taking her current position.
